As a manufacturer of LED workstation luminaires, we have been producing our products in Germany for decades. Every workpiece is manually checked by us at our facility in Bielefeld. We personally carry out all tests such as heat and cold tests, IP and surge tests. This is how we ensure the highest quality for our customers. Frequently asked questions.
We need a 24V LED machine luminaire, do you have this in your range?
We offer LED luminaires in all protection classes. This also includes 24V LED luminaires with, which fall into protection class III and are thus supplied with protective extra-low voltage. The supply voltage is thus so low that there is no danger from it. 24V LED machine luminaires are used, for example, when working with water.
Which machine tools are your LED machine luminaires used for?
Our LED luminaires are used in a wide variety of machine tools. These include CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, CNC grinding machines or in CNC machining centres. Flying chips, the use of coolants and lubricants in the vicinity of the LED machine luminaire are the norm. We have the right solutions for you for precisely such requirements.
Which LED machine luminaires are suitable for packaging machines?
For packaging machines, the requirements for luminaires are generally lower than for workplaces where high heat and water are used. Protection against dust, for example, is often sufficient. This also has an impact on the price. Here we have specific and cheaper products in the range such as the ELN and SLN solutions.
Which LED machine luminaires are suitable for the food industry?
Machines in the food industry need to be cleaned frequently. The machine luminaires must be protected accordingly. This is recorded in the protection class in the second code number. This concerns protection against ingress of splashes, drips, sprays and jets of water as well as submersion. Thus, we are happy to offer you LED machine luminaires with protection class IP69K as a solution.
Machine luminaire or machine lamp: Is it the same?
The term machine lamp is often used as a synonym. But a lamp is only the illuminant. The luminaire is the overall construction. This also includes an LED machine lamp.

Three advantages of LED technology in our machine luminaires.

Long performance
LED industrial luminaires have a very long service life. If the light intensity falls below 70 percent, the service life is considered to have expired. In 3-shift operation over five days per week, we guarantee a luminosity of over 70 % for 9.6 years. One reason for the long durability is our design: We work with aluminium core circuit boards. They conduct the heat into the environment via the luminaire housing. As a result, heat generation is significantly lower, which has a positive effect on durability.
Good colour rendering
For illumination at the workplace, you need good colour rendering and a uniform colour temperature. This prevents fatigue at the workstation. Our LED industrial luminaires reach a value of more than 80 percent in the colour fidelity index. The diodes are clustered in a CIE standard colour system, known as binning.

Flexible dimming
Many models of our LED industrial luminaires have an eco mode. This dims the illumination and emits 30 percent of the luminous flux from normal operation. Machine workstations can therefore be designed to be even more ergonomic. When the interior is entered, the light emits its full brightness. When the interior of the machine is in use, it is only discreetly lit. This ensures optimum machine lighting at all times.

SPS Fair 12th – 14th November 2024
At the SPS 2024 (12-14 November, Nuremberg), the HELUKABEL Group is exhibiting electrical connection technology for all industrial automation sectors. The portfolio includes cables and wires, complete system solutions for energy transmission, and intelligent lighting systems. Visitors can experience the new HELULIGHT Smart Process addressable LED lights at our booth in hall 2, stand 230/231. With these lights, any number of individual machine and system processes can be visualised clearly.
The HELULIGHT Smart Process LEDs being exhibited by the HELUKABEL Group at the SPS are part of an intelligent lighting and signalling system ideal for a wide range of industrial applications. These are individually addressable, RGB LEDs make it possible for different operational parameters such as progress, fill levels, or temperature to be easily monitored visually by machine and systems operators. Thanks to its analogue controls, the HELULIGHT Smart Process is compatible with all common controllers and can be used with virtually all machines, both outside on the housing and inside the machine. This system functions as a standardised and easy-to-implement solution for the visualisation of processes.
Awaiting visitors to the HELUKABEL booth is an extensive assortment of electrical connection technology products. This includes cables, wires, accessories, custom plastic, steel, and stainless-steel drag chains, and pre-assembled and ready-to-use system solutions. The flexible applications of industrial automation and mechanical and plant engineering are in the spotlight.
The HELUKABEL portfolio includes the HELUCHAIN range of drag chain cables, which are specially designed for use in drag chains. A number of variations of these cables are now available with a TPE outer sheath. This plastic material is especially robust and abrasion-resistant, which makes it ideal for extreme mechanical loads and weather conditions. Users have the choice between the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522-TPE control and connection cable, and the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 600 single-core cable, all available in both screened and unscreened models. The complete product family is UL certified and is therefore suitable for international use. For all applications not subjected to extreme operating conditions, HELUKABEL has expanded its portfolio to include a number of affordable solutions. With these, we are able to offer our customers better value for their money.
For industrial automation, the HELUKABEL portfolio also includes ROBOFLEX series data and control cables. These cables are designed for use on highly dynamic industrial robots that work in three dimensions. They are able to reliably withstand tension, compression, bending, and torsion equally well. The ROBOFLEX-recycle is also exceptionally resistant to oils and welding beads.
A wide array of data, network, and bus cables are also available, such as HELUKAT copper cables or HELUCOM fibre optic cables, which have proven to exhibit exceptional transmission properties, even in the most demanding of applications. As a competent partner of the drive technology sector, HELUKABEL delivers with motor, encoder, and hybrid cables, as well as accessories, for servo drives. The TOPSERV Hybrid line of PVC and PUR single-cable solutions supports all common digital interfaces such as DSL, EnDat, or EtherCAT.
